The PrinterMonitoringService.exe.config file

Altering the .config file will affect the operation of the application and should only be undertaken by an administrator

The PrinterMonitoringService.exe.config file controls the operation of the printer monitoring component of the printer usage monitoring application. It contains the following sections:

<configSections>

This is used by the printer monitoring component in reading the configuration file and should not be changed

<printerEventListeners>

This specifies which applications (known as listeners) are notified whenever a printer changed event occurs. This could be a change in the printer setup, status or number of jobs waiting to be printed

<printJobEventListeners>

This specifies which applications (known as listeners) are notified whenever a print job is added, changed, written or deleted from a printer queue being monitored.

<monitoredPrinters>

This is the set of printers being monitored by this printer monitor service

<appSettings>

This section controls the operation of the printer monitoring service and allows you to generate tracing information.
